METHOD:
1. Use a compass and pencil to draw a 14.5cm radius circle onto blue card, then cut out. Use our template to trim a unicorn head from pearlescent cream card.
2. Cut the unicorn’s mane from three shades of pink and layer together with 3D foam pads, then adhere. Add an eye, nostril and horn cut from gold pearlescent card and add detailing with a black marker pen. Lay the unicorn onto the background disc, but do not fix into place at this point.
3. Sketch and cut several spirals of various lengths from dark blue and purple card. Arrange onto the right of the disc with 3D foam pads, trimming the ends in line with the edge of the circle.
4. Create three jagged mountains from three shades of green card and add a pearlescent cream snowcap to each one. Fix these to the left of the disc, allowing the peaks to protrude from the edge.
5. Cut two or three hills, 30cm wide, from pale green card and position along the base of the background, trimming the edges to fit. Attach the unicorn to the centre of the design with stacked 3D foam pads, ensuring the clouds and landscape are horizontal.
6. Fill in the background with several small hills cut from green and blue card. Trim flowers from pink and orange and glue to the hills. Cut small stars from gold card and scatter over the unicorn and along the top.
