Stamp Masking Floral Card

Card making Die cutting How to Stamping Techniques Card Making

Learn how to mask with stamps and ink alongside designer Colette Smith. An easy technique, masking off part of the stamped image before ink blending will leave a white image once the mask is removed. This is a great way to ensure your stamped motifs stand out! Just be mindful that some inks blend better than others and react differently on the type of cardstock that you are using.

2. Stamp the same poppies and leaves onto a sheet of masking paper, then carefully cut out, keeping close to the outside lines.

3. Fix the masks to each poppy and leaf. Apply ink over the surface with an ink blending tool. Spritz on sheer shimmer spray before removing.

4. Attach the panel onto a white blank. Die cut ‘Friend’ from black card and again from white foam. Layer together and fix to the card, using a black pearl for the ‘i’. Embellish with clear droplets.
