YOU WILL NEED:
Quilling papers: 3mm, red, green, pale pink, browns; 2mm, black
Quilling tool
Safety eyes, 4mm
Wooden sticks
String
METHOD:
Elf friends
1 Mount 11.5cm x 13cm of white card onto dark purple, leaving a narrow border, then adhere to a 12.5cm x 16cm purple blank. Make a parcel by wrapping a 4.5cm x 6cm scrap of card in brown paper and tying a length of string around it, then attach to bottom-right of the card.
2 Sit one elf on the parcel, legs dangling over the edge, then attach another at the side. Print a sentiment reading ‘Merry Christmas’ on purple, then mount it on to red. Attach to a cocktail stick, and place in the hand of an elf.
Elf service
1 Print a Christmas menu onto 6cm x 8cm of white card, then mount onto 7cm x 10cm of red. Attach to a wooden stick.
2 Make two elves and arrange them on purple card, so it looks as if they are holding the menu. Cut a right-angled triangle from purple, score 1cm in from the straight side, then fold and stick this panel on the reverse to keep it standing.
Clumsy elf
1 Glue an elf to a purple 7cm x 10cm panel. Matt onto a red 8.5cm x 11.5cm shape, then stick to a white blank. Make a small parcel with brown paper and string, then glue to the elf’s torso, before attaching his hands to the sides of the box.
2 Make another small parcel and attach near the feet. Print a ‘Merry Christmas’ sentiment on purple, mount onto red card, then attach to a 13.5cm wooden stick and secure to the greeting.
