Colette Smith’s onto a winner with this adorable pop-up robin card. Combining a classic winter motif with an interactive element, Colette has got us in dreamland with this make. Her pop-up robin card is easy to make too, thanks to Colette’s step-by-step instructions.
YOU WILL NEED:
Dies, circles
Patterned paper
Cardstock, various colours
Stickers: alphabet, snowflake
Punch, small circle
Gel pen, white
Gems, clear
Adhesives: 3D foam pads, double-sided tape, glue
Die-cutting machine
Die cut a 7cm circle of pink card and an 8.5cm circle from brown card. Punch two small circles from black cardstock
Glue the pink circle onto the brown one, overlapping the edge. Trim the excess. Snip a triangle beak from orange and two black legs
Fix the beak to the body with a 3D foam pad and glue the legs to the reverse. Draw a white gel pen dots on each eye, then attach
Take two white panels, 11cm x 28cm, then score and fold at 14cm to create two blanks
Trim two panels of spotty paper to 10cm x 13cm, then adhere inside one of the blanks
Using a pencil, lightly draw a 2cm x 5cm rectangle in the centre of the same piece
Cut along the longer sides of the rectangle and score the others. Gently push from the back to create a step
Erase any pencil marks. Using double-sided tape, attach the second blank to the back of the pop-up piece
Fix the robin to the step element and a sentiment below. Matt teal card on the front panel, then add sentiment and snowflake stickers. Embellish with gems
