Card making Die cutting Embossing How to Stamping Techniques Card Making
Zero art experience is required to create Ingrid Vichova’s painterly card. Designed to do all the hard work for you, the Color Pour Magic paints come pre-mixed with pouring medium and cell magic so you no longer need to stress about getting the correct measurements. Just shake the paint, go with the flow and completely immerse yourself in this somewhat messy but ultra-satisfying technique.
YOU WILL NEED:
Paint, Color Pour Magic Fiery Opal
Dies, Concord & 9th Little Love Tags
Stamps, Concord & 9th Hugs & Kisses Turnabout
Ink pad, Tsukineko VersaMark embossing
Embossing glitter, WOW! Embossing Metallic Gold Sparkle
Cardstock: white, gold glitter
Small plastic cups
Lollipop sticks
Tools: heat gun, anti-static
Glue
Die-cutting machine
METHOD:
1. Pour a little bit of each paint colour into a plastic cup. Alternate the colours a few times, then place card on top and flip it. Slowly move the cup around, slightly lifting it as you pull. This will help to spread the paint and create an interesting pattern.
2. Tilt the cardstock back and forth until the card is completely covered. Have a spare piece of card ready to catch any dripping paint upside down. Leave to dry. Trim the panel to 9.5cm x 14cm. Treat with an anti-static tool, then stamp rows of hearts towards the bottom in embossing ink. Heat emboss with gold embossing glitter.
3. Die cut a tag from white, mount onto gold glitter card and trim around the edges. Add a gold glitter sentiment and mini hearts. Die cut a small heart from the paint-poured panel and fix on top. Secure to the paint-poured background, then mount onto a 10.5cm x 15cm white blank.
