With Santa’s sleigh well and truly in the rearview, we’re abuzz with excitement at the influx of bright and breezy crafting taking over the office – with the next six pages being a prime example. Flowers! Greenery! Hedgehogs! Toadstools!
Sit down and get crafting with a woodland celebration well set to warm up your still-chilly craft room, and banish any lingering vestige of Christmas.
YOU WILL NEED:
Patterned papers, Craft Consortium Over The Hedge 12” x 12”
Stamps: Craft Consortium Olivia Owl, Harry The Hedgehog, Henry The Fox; Crafter’s Companion Say It With Words
Dies: XCut Folk Alphabet A5; stitched circles, stitched squares
Punch, XCut Medium Petal Palm
Die-cutting machine
Embellishments: Craft Consortium Over The Hedge Wooden Shapes, Enamel Dots; jute
Marker pens
METHOD:
1 Trim a piece of kraft card 10.5cm x 28cm, then score across at 7cm and 21cm. Cut another piece of kraft card 22cm x 14cm and score down at 5.5cm and 16.5cm. Adhere the first piece of card on top of the second.
2 Snip floral paper to 10.5cm x 13.5cm then adhere to the inside panel. Trim two pieces of contrasting paper, 5.5cm x 13.5cm, then adhere to the side panels. Trim another two pieces to 10.5cm x 6.5cm and adhere to the top and bottom panels.
3 Fold the top panel down then fold the left side over. Fold the bottom up then fold the right side over, tucking the top under the folded top panel. Trim four pieces of floral paper 5cm x 6.5cm then adhere to each panel.
4 Die cut four 4cm stitched squares in kraft card. Stamp a sentiment on one square then attach to the bottom-left panel with 3D foam pads. Layer contrasting papers on the other three stitched squares then attach to the other panels with 3D foam pads.
5 Adhere a hedgehog wooden shape to the top-right square. Stamp and colour two toadstools, cut out then attach to the other squares with 3D foam pads. Punch out two flowers in red card, shape, then adhere next to the toadstools. Add enamel dots to the centre of the flowers and a jute bow under the sentiment.
