Make a Kimono Screen Card

YOU WILL NEED:

Craft Essentials, Kimono Papercrafting CD-Rom, Kimono Rubber Stamps: Paper Moon, Porcelain, Computer and printer, Gems: blue, Ink pad: black

METHOD: Screen card

Load the Crafter’s Companion Kimono CD-Rom on your computer and choose the ‘Screen cards’ option on the home page. Click on ‘Design 2’ (or your chosen colour scheme) and print the PDF of the three panel screen onto heavyweight paper.

For the 3D butterflies, go back to the home page and click on ‘Card companions’. Choose ‘Design 2’ for the butterflies and print the images.

To assemble the card, cut out the screen and score and crease along the vertical lines to create an accordion card. Cut out a large, medium and small blue butterfly from the card companions sheet and lightly curl the wings between your fingers for a 3D effect.

Stick a butterfly to each panel with 3D pads behind the bodies. Using the Porcelain and Paper Moon stamp sets, stamp a sentiment onto each panel in black ink.

Cut the three bow images from the sheet and stick one on the top of each end panel and the blue bow at the bottom of the middle panel. Decorate with blue gems to finish.
