Make A Contemporary Wedding Invite

Card making Wedding crafts

The invite is your guests’ first clue as to what your wedding will be like. Handmade wedding invitations allow you to convey your personality and the theme of your special day.

Make A Contemporary Wedding Invite

This contemporary wedding invite designed by Jenny Pearce is perfect for couples who love to travel or who are tying the knot abroad. The main thing you need is map print paper, then use the simple steps below to make this beautiful creation.

Choose an old map or map print paper and cut out two hearts, either free-hand or using a die-cutting machine or punch.

Mount each heart onto brown paper and cut around, leaving a narrow border.

Use a decorative border punch along an edge of brown paper and stick to the bottom of a landscape cream blank. Stick a rectangle of map paper to the card's left-hand side, then round all the corners. Stick the hearts to the cream section with 3D pads, overlapping them slightly. Embellish with stickers, buttons, twine and gems.
