Colette Smith’s ice cream wobbler card is fabulously fun, combining a great summer motif with an endlessly enjoyable wobble spring element. You can get started on your own ice cream wobbler card right away using our fantastic templates or SVG files.
You will need:
Templates or SVG files
Stencil, Inkylicious Sunbeam 6”
Ink pad, Ranger Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina
Cardstock, various colours
Gems, clear
Faber Castell Polychromos coloured pencils
Pens: shimmer pen, black fineliner, white gel pen
Hampton Art Action Wobble Springs
Glue
Digital cutting machine (optional)
1. Cut our SVG files using a digital cutting machine. Alternatively, download and print the templates onto card, then trim
2. Cut the cone from pale tan card and add waffle detailing with colouring pencils
3. Trim the ice cream and drip shapes from pale pink card, then add details with colouring pencils
4. Cut out the chocolate sauce from brown card and add shading with dark brown colouring pencils
5. Snip the cherry and stalk from pink and green card. Add shading with colouring pencils
6. For the sprinkles, cut narrow lengths of lilac, pink, yellow, lime and aqua card, then snip off little strips
7. Assemble, then add facial details to the ice cream and cherry using a black fineliner. Apply pink pencil for rosy cheeks, then white gel pen to highlight the cherry and shimmer pen for the sprinkles
8. Stencil sun rays onto white card, 10.5cm x 13.5cm, with blue distress oxide ink. Adhere the panel onto an 11cm x 14cm white blank
9. Draw around the ice cream onto white card and cut out a few millimetres within the line, then fix to the back of the ice cream. Attach to the card with a wobble spring. Add a sentiment and gems
