Origami Papercrafter Techniques
Using your FREE issue 80 patterned papers and our simple step-by-step guide, you can recreate Corinne Bradd’s adorable origami bunnies just in time for Easter!
• Fold a square of pink patterned paper in half diagonally, right side out. Fold the two corner points down to the middle point to make a square
• Fold in the opposite sides of the square to make a kite shape, crease and open out the folds
• Flatten and fold the opposite points of the square towards the centre line to make two kite shapes using the crease lines to guide you
• Fold the paper in half along the centre line so the kites are facing out and turn it so the fold is on the right
• Take the spike of paper at the bottom and pull it out and up towards the right
• Flatten the spike against the model so the top edge is at a right angle to the centre fold. Flip the paper over and repeat on the other side
• To make the ears, fold the bottom edge of the spike up at a 15 degree angle and flatten. Flip the paper over and repeat on the other side
• Open the diamond shape at the front of the rabbit, allowing the top point to bend forward
• Press the sides of the diamond out on either side of the model so the point falls fully forward to make the head. Tuck the tip of the point inside to flatten the nose and open the ears a little
• Tuck the point at the back of the rabbit inside the body and crease. Pull half of the point back out and crease to make a tipped up tail
