• Cut a strip of paper to 2cm x 30cm. Make an overhand knot close to one end. Gently flatten the knot but avoid creasing too hard.
• Fold over and tuck the short end inside the knot. Fold the longer end over the knot to form a pentagon.
• Continue wrapping the long end over the sides of the shape, allowing it to follow its natural path.
• When the strip is too short to wrap, tuck it inside the previous layer to secure it.
• Begin squeezing the sides of the shape towards each other. Use your thumbnail to indent the centre of each side to help the process. As the sides are pushed in, the pentagon will form a puffy star shape.
