We show you how to use die-cut hearts to create stunning decorations for your home, such as a pretty upcycled picture frame. The mix of vibrant colours in this stunning collection are sure to brighten anyone’s day and are great fun to make.
• Trim a scalloped edge along the top of a 10cm x 13cm panel of pale blue card. Attach to a 10cm x 14cm white blank. 2 Stamp a sentiment on white card and cut into a cloud shape, then stick to the lower right of the card.
• Using your dies, cut small hearts from pink, orange, yellow, green, aqua, blue and lilac card. Stick them onto white card and trim around the edges.
• Attach to the blank with 3D foam pads and draw balloon cords from the bottom of each heart. Finish with clear gems.
• Cover the top of a 12cm square blank with a 9cm panel of blue card. Stamp a sentiment in the lower right corner in pink ink.
• Die cut two hearts from bright pink, two from pale green and two from orange. Arrange in a flower shape and attach to the blank.
• Stick a large crystal brad to the centre of a white circle and matt onto blue card. Fix to the flower with 3D foam pads.
• Die cut a large heart in the centre of a piece of pink card cut to 9.5cm square. Stick to a piece of turquoise card the same size and attach to a 10cm square white blank.
• Attach a small turquoise die-cut heart to a larger white one and stick to the centre of the blank with foam pads. Add pink pearls to the heart to finish.
• Die cut several small hearts in pink, blue and orange card. Stick them to a piece of green card cut slightly smaller than a white 10cm x 15cm landscape blank.
• Use the die-cut pieces to infill each of the hearts. Stamp a sentiment onto white card and matt onto a slightly larger piece of pale green.
• Wrap and tie orange twine around the panel and add coloured pearls to the right of the sentiment. Attach to the centre of the blank with 3D foam pads.
• Cover the bottom of a 10.5cm x 14.5cm landscape blank with bright pink card that is 4cm in height.
• Add a sentiment to the lower right corner with rub-on letters. Tie black ribbon around the join.
• Arrange the dies so that the small hearts sit in the larger ones. Cut two large and one small heart in black, then two small and one large in pink.
• Secure across the top of the blank with contrasting small hearts in the centre.
• Cover a 10cm x 14.5cm white blank with a slightly smaller piece of blue card. Stamp a sentiment onto a strip of green card and fix across the bottom with 3D foam pads.
• Die cut a medium heart in pink and orange card and small hearts from orange. Matt the pink heart onto a large white die-cut heart. Add the smaller orange shape to the centre and infill the outside with orange pieces.
• Add a thin strip of green card to the flower as a stem. Die cut two small hearts in green card, attach to either side of the stem and infill with green offcuts.
• Cut a panel of heart patterned paper to 9cm x 9.5cm and attach to a 10cm square green blank.
• Die cut a medium heart in the right side of the blank and another from green card. Snip out two smaller ones in white and adhere one white heart inside the blank so it shows through the die-cut.
• Score down the centre of the other two hearts, stick them together and place on the left of the blank. Finish with a stamped sentiment and gems.
• Cover the bottom of a 10.5cm square blank with blue patterned paper cut to 4cm x 10.5cm.
• Cover the top in pale pink card, snip fishtails into each end of a 1cm x 11.5cm strip of card and fix along the join.
• Die cut a medium heart in pink card and attach a smaller one in white on top. Matt onto a large white heart die-cut and stick centrally onto the blank with foam pads. Add a few gems to finish.
• Stamp a phrase onto white card. Remove the glass from the frame and use it to line up the words so they sit at the bottom.
• Draw around the glass and cut out the card. Put the card in the frame between the glass and backing board.
• Die cut eight small hearts from red card and one from black. Score down the centre of each and fold slightly.
• Arrange so that they are evenly placed above the phrase with the black heart at the bottom right, then glue each shape in place.
• Cut a piece of pink card to 5.5cm x 7cm and snip off two corners to create a tag shape. Stick a mint band at the top, punch a small hole in it and thread with green twine. Add a die-cut medium green heart with a smaller mint heart inside.
• Die cut a circle in yellow card and a smaller one in white. Take a small heart from the white circle and stick to the yellow circle. Punch a small hole, thread with yellow twine and add a pearl to finish.
• Snip the corners from a piece of 6.5cm x 9cm piece of turquoise card. Die cut a large heart in white, a medium one in mint and a small in turquoise. Layer them up and stick to the tag, then finish with a mint pearl.
• Create a 5cm square box from green card. Die cut four hearts in white with a small heart cut from the centre of each.
• Stick a heart to the four sides of the box and decorate with white pearls. Add a white bow to the top of the box to finish.
• Wrap a wide piece of white ribbon around the centre of a lilac pillow box and repeat with a narrower width of purple ribbon.
• Take two lengths of lilac twine and wrap around the box over the ribbons, then tie in a large floppy bow.
• Die cut a medium purple heart and remove the small one from the centre. Then cut out a large white heart.
• Attach the small purple heart to the large white one and decorate around the edge with lilac pearls. Fix to the box with glue.
• Cover an 8cm x 12cm tentfold blank with turquoise spotty paper. Stamp a sentiment to the bottom, then wrap and tie white ribbon in a bow above it.
• Die cut a medium heart in white and black card and a smaller one in turquoise. Infill the white heart with black pieces. Fix the small heart onto it and attach to the top of the blank with 3D foam pads.
