YOU WILL NEED:
Templates
Cardstock, various colours
Scrap card
Scissors
Glue
METHOD:
1. Cut a cone from scrap card using our template and roll up to make a shape with a 6cm diameter base. Check the fit inside the ring template, which should sit on the cone 5mm from the bottom. Use this cone as a base to form all other cones over for a perfect fit each time.
2. Trim and assemble more cone pieces from coloured cardstock. Clip a 5mm high fringe around the base of each one and fold out the tabs. Cut a ring shape in the same colour as the cone, slip over the top and glue the tabs to the underside.
3. Cut a starry ring from contrasting cardstock, slip over the cone and glue to the hat brim. Create a 10.5cm circle from the same contrasting cardstock and glue over the base to keep them in place.
TOP TIP
Fill the witch hats with mini sweet treats before sealing for unique party favours, or simply use as decorations each year instead
