Card making Die cutting Papercraft Papercrafter Card Making
Venture into the magical land of unicorns and rainbows with this adorable card project. It’s bound to put a smile on a unicorn lover’s face! We’ve added a sophisticated spin to this majestic creature with eyelashes and a floral crown – what’s not to love? This delightful greeting is surprisingly easy to make, plus you can get started right away as you probably have everything you need in your craft stash!
YOU WILL NEED: Craft essentials, Flower dies or punches, Sequins
METHOD
1 Take an 11.5cm x 14.5cm white blank. Trim 11cm x 14cm of pink card and glue it to the card front. Cut a 10cm x 13cm piece of white card and add a strip of gold glitter paper to the left of it. Fix the panel onto the card front.
2 Trim a piece of gold glitter card into a triangular shape, approximately 5cm tall to create the unicorn’s horn, then fix in place with 3D foam pads.
3 Stamp small stars as shown in the image onto the card front using a pale pink ink pad, then adhere sequins at each side. Draw two ears onto white card, then some slightly smaller onto pink card.
4 Cut out the ears, glue them together and attach them to the card. Punch or die cut flowers from various scraps of coloured card. Layer some together with 3D foam pads, then add a gem to the middle of each one.
5 Draw around something circular to create the unicorn’s eyes. With a black fine liner add eyelashes to each eye. To finish tie thin pastel-coloured ribbons into a knot and glue to the left of the greeting.
