Give your craft space a makeover with this stylish project. A bit of colour goes a long way – it can brighten your mood, living space and help you realise your creativity. You don’t need to spend lots of time and money painting your craft room, simply get creative with your wallpaper offcuts and scrap paper. Bring vibrant shades and decorative papers into a room with these trendy DIY clipboards. Hang them on your wall and use them as memo boards, to display your favourite family photos or to simply bring some lively pattern to a wall.
You will need: Paper scraps or wallpaper samples, A4 clipboards, adhesive, white paint, dry cloth
1 Colour the front of a wooden clipboard with white paint and leave to dry. You may need two coats to get a solid finish.
2 Lay paper or wallpaper centrally onto the wooden clipboard. Mark and cut away a gap at the top, if necessary, to accommodate the clip mechanism.
3 Paste the back of the sample liberally with adhesive. Allow the glue to soak into the paper, then position in place. Smooth down from the centre to the outside using a clean, dry cloth.
4 Leave to completely dry overnight for 24 hours, then hang on the wall as a noticeboard or use as a clipboard.
