Card making Father’s Day cards Card Making

This greeting by Ruth Hamilton is ideal for putting a smile on your dad’s face this Father’s Day. It looks impressive and he’ll be thrilled by the thought and attention you’ve put into it but (don’t tell anyone!) it’s actually really simple and quick to make. Pick papers in your dad’s favourite colours, and get crafting your very own Father’s Day card!

Make a Father’s Day card your dad will love

YOU WILL NEED:

Craft Essentials, Alphabet stencils or dies, Buttons

METHOD: Father’s Day Card

Matt 14cm x 20.5cm of patterned paper onto dark blue card and attach to the front of a 15cm x 21cm white blank. Layer 9cm x 20.5cm of blue patterned paper onto dark blue card and attach to the centre of the design.

Use alphabet stencils or dies to cut out letters, spelling the word ‘DAD’. Add fine dotted lines to the edges using black pen. Tie navy ribbon around the first ‘D’ to form a tie, snipping the end into a point

Write a sentiment on patterned paper and cut into a tag shape. Punch a hole in the top and tie onto the second ‘D’. Stick the letters to the card’s central panel with 3D foam pads, making sure the ‘A’ is slightly on top of the others. Finish with two buttons as shown.
