Weaving is traditionally a textile technique, but you’ll realise how easy it is to adapt the method for cardmaking. Whilst it might seem a little complicated, it’s actually very simple and great for using up little leftover strips of cardstock and patterned papers. Use different sized strips for an artistic style, or try precisely measured lengths for a more uniform look. Apply the technique behind apertures, on corners or just start with the simplest technique to get used to the skill. If you’re not sure how your piece is going to look, try attaching the ends with low-tack washi tape instead of glue. You can then mix and match without committing to a style you might not be completely happy with. For further customisation, try changing up the gaps between each layer. You can get a tight, compact look if the strips are closer together, or a more asymmetrical look by spacing them further apart. The best part about this technique is how much you can tailor it to your liking, and we hope you enjoy this trio of Easter cards!
