Blown away is an understatement when it comes to these papers! Mia Dunton’s Easter illustrations are truly special, with floral eggs and bashful bunnies being the highlights. Not forgetting the woven basket, classic gingham and folksy florals of course. Plus, Mia’s created a full sheet of sentiment toppers and border strips, so you’re all set. Here are some ideas on what you can make with them…
Easter Bunny Z-Fold Card
1. Place white card, 16cm x 24cm, in a landscape position, then score down from the long side at 8cm and 16cm. Mark 7cm up from the bottom-right corner and draw a line to that point from the top-left corner. Trim away the top of the card, then valley fold the first score line and mountain fold the second.
2. Cover all the panels with different patterned papers. Cut our ‘Some bunny loves you’ sentiment to 6cm x 6.5cm, round off the corners with a punch, then attach to the front panel
with 3D foam pads. Snip a couple of flowers and fix to the bottom-right corner of the sentiment with 3D foam pads. Add a baker’s twine bow.
3. Secure a bunny and flower to the back of the front panel, facing forwards, then add an egg to the central panel with 3D foam pads. Fix our scalloped border down the back panel. Adhere a flower and small bunny with 3D foam pads. Add adhesive pearl gems to the flowers.
Easter Bunny Basket
1. Download and print the Easter basket template, then use it to draw, cut out and score a basket and handle from pink card. Trim 12 pieces of floral paper, 2.5cm x 7.5cm, then adhere onto the 12 strips on the pink basket, using the original template as a guide. Snip two triangles from the same paper and fix to the back and front. Cut two pieces of gingham paper, 7cm x 7.5cm, and adhere to the sides.
2. Fold the sides and triangles up, then glue the ends of the strips to the triangles to create a basket shape. Matt the handle with floral paper and adhere to the top of the triangles. Attach cut-out flowers to the ends with 3D foam pads, then add adhesive pearl gems. Fill the basket with shredded tissue paper.
Easter Bunny Easel Card
1. Create a top-folding 13cm square white blank. Score and mountain fold the front in half to create an easel card. Cover the front, back and inside panels with yellow card. Adhere green bunny paper inside. Trim white card to 13cm square and cover with yellow. Matt pale pink bunny paper on top. Stick floral paper, 9.5cm square, in the centre.
2. Fix a bunting border, 3cm x 13cm, across the middle. Wrap baker’s twine around three times and secure, then attach a circular sentiment on top with 3D foam pads. Adhere this panel to the front of the greeting. Add contrasting paper to the back panel.
3. Trim gingham paper to 5.5cm x 11.5cm, layer onto yellow, then attach to the base with 3D foam pads to act as the stopper for the front panel. Fix a carrot in the centre and flowers in the top corners with 3D foam pads. Add adhesive pearl gems to the flowers.
Easter Bunny Gift Tag
1. Trim yellow card to 7cm x 15cm and snip the top corners diagonally to create a tag. Round off the bottom corners with a punch. Matt with green bunny paper. Adhere gingham paper, 2.5cm x 15cm, down the centre. Punch a hole through the top, then thread with baker’s twine.
2. Snip our ‘Hoppy Easter’ sentiment to 5.5cm x 6cm, round off the corners, and stick towards the top with 3D foam pads. Attach a flower to the bottom with 3D foam pads, then add an
adhesive pearl gem.
