PNGs discussed
These digi stamps are so versatile because they’re PNG files. What’s a PNG we hear you ask? We’ll tell you! It stands for Portable Network Graphic and it’s a very common image file type. The main benefit is that the background is transparent, which means you can print your motifs onto coloured card or even patterned paper… exciting! Don’t forget, you can also manipulate or resize the motifs before printing if you’re feeling adventurous.

Colouring time
Alcohol markers are often the best choice for colouring in digi stamps. Always place the paper you’re working with on top of something porous because the ink will come through to the other side – this is normal as it needs to soak through the paper’s fibres in order to create smooth, vivid colors. Placing paper underneath will pull the bleed downwards rather than outwards and it will also help protect your work surface.

You can place the motif and phrase together on your computer – as you can see with our cat and toad greeting – for a smooth, professional finish.
