Mindful moments
Not only will this month’s picking of digi stamps provide you with plenty of options for your greetings, they’ll also give you a welcome opportunity to while away the hours with a calming session of colouring. Kitty’s ‘Kind And Brave’ card is a good place to start. Print out the mandala and heart digi stamps, then fill them in at your own pace. They’re both incredibly intricate motifs and ideal for mindful colouring. You’ll find that your mind will only be able to focus upon staying within the lines.

Frame game
The sentiments in this set each boast ornate frames around them which you can either keep or lose to suit your design. If you do decide to keep the frame, why not add a little colour to boost the sentiment as Kitty demonstrates on several of her cards? All it requires is a thin nibbed marker and a steady hand to add subtle colour. Opt for a single shade or a duo of hues for easy gradient effects. It’s a simple yet effective way of adding dimension to your cards and drawing the eye in on the wording.

In the background
These digi stamps really do speak for themselves, but pair them with a range of cardmaking techniques and you’ll be onto a winner! Mount your motifs onto an ink-blended background like Kitty’s ‘It’s All Good’ greeting or go the extra mile and apply your distress inks through a stencil. Patterned papers will always add a punch to your projects, but why not try dry embossing for textured backgrounds, similar to Kitty’s ‘Hello Sunshine’ card? Otherwise, leave the background blank so your digi stamp remains the focal point.
