Why we love PaperCrafter 61
With a wealth of great papercrafting ideas, a gorgeous bird and butterfly kit and free Paper Book, it’s no wonder the three of us on the PaperCrafter editorial team have had lots of fun putting issue 61 together. In fact, we’ve loved making this issue so much we thought we’d share our PaperCrafter 61 favourites with you.
Ella Johnston, Editor
“While I simply adored the beautiful bird and butterfly greetings, it was all about the home projects for me. Our in-house designer Corinne Brad really pulled out the stops for this issue. As an origami and upcycling fan, I love Corinne’s book and magazine kusudama balls (pictured above). I’ve also been raving about the issue’s paper lanterns and geometric charms - I thought they gave our Studio Selection Papers a mid-century modern edge.”
Elaine Bennett, Deputy Editor
“I love Tracey Daykin-Jones’ gorgeous A5 cards on page 33 of the new issue. Although small greetings (especially little square ones) can look really cute, using larger blanks means that you can really show off the patterned papers and embellishments in this issue’s kit. Plus, the recipient will feel extra-special when a lovely large envelope lands on their mat!”

“This issue I love Niki Rowland’s paper weaving ideas. From coasters to sweetie baskets, this technique is so versatile and much easier than it looks to achieve. Turn to page 34 and use our handy online templates to master this technique tonight.”
