PaperCrafter Pin of the Week: Books & Weddings

Every week a member of the PaperCrafter team tells you about their favourite image found on photo sharing site Pinterest. Today, deputy editor Elaine Bennett reveals her inner bookworm.

PaperCrafter Pin of the Week: Books & Weddings

I’m going to three weddings this year and the invitations have started landing on my doormat over the last couple of weeks. I love trying to guess the the theme of the special day from the style of the invites. Is it going to have a classy, traditional feel or something a little more vintage or unusual? I’ve noticed a trend on Pinterest recently for wedding decorations and invitations incorporating the written word. As an avid reader from a family of librarians, I’m loving this trend (as long as it doesn’t involve ripping up my favourite tomes!)

This pretty heart bunting (above) features pages from vintage French books and a lovely romantic heart design, whilst the below invitation reminds me of the summer jobs I had in my sleepy local library as a teenager - I always loved using those big date stamps!

Finally, why not do away with a tablecloth and cover your wedding tables with book pages. At least the guests will have something to occupy themselves with if the speeches get a little long!
