My idea of the perfect holiday

The nights are drawing in and it feels like we’re sliding down that slope to Christmas faster than I’d like - there’s still so much to do! Just thinking about the festive organising and crafting I still have left to do is making me feel a little stressed.

My idea of the perfect holiday

I don’t know about you, but as soon as my crafting to-do list starts mounting, I start browsing holidays on the internet. It’s a bit of an addiction actually, I’ll admit. I start frantically googling exotic locations, drooling over pictures of infinity pools and sandy beaches.

Then I remember that as a crafter, there is one thing I absolutely can’t do. It’s something that most other holidaymakers don’t seem to have a problem with, in fact it’s one of the main reasons they go away in the first place.

But for me, I just can’t lay around on a deckchair all day without that creeping, nagging voice telling me that I’m wasting valuable crafting time. I could be getting ahead on all those birthday cards I’ve got to make. There’s still that final bootie to knit for my family’s new arrival.

Nope, not for me the lazy summer holiday. I’ve decided that next year’s hols are going to incorporate a little bit of relaxation, but also loads of creativity - for me, that’s the perfect mix. I better start booking!
