Join in Mind’s Virtual Crafternoon!

This Good Friday afternoon, on 10th April, households up and down the country are invited to come together online for the nation’s craftiest fundraiser, Crafternoon. With everyone spending a lot more time at home to help keep safe, mental health charity Mind is hosting a virtual spin-off of their popular crafting event to encourage people to do something creative and for their own wellbeing, whilst raising money for better mental health.

Virtual Crafternoon will take place via Zoom at 16:00pm on Friday, and anyone can take part. All that is needed is some basic supplies to make the rainbow origami stars – coloured paper, a ruler or something with a straight edge, and thread – and a tablet, computer or smartphone. Mind will provide the template, tips and online guidance for creating the crafty masterpiece.

This is the perfect time to get creative and see what materials are lying around the house; a great opportunity to recycle those cardboard toilet roll tubes or finished cereal boxes. Virtual Crafternoon is free, with a suggested donation to Mind to help fund vital services in England and Wales for those experiencing a mental health problem, at a time when it is needed more than ever. Don’t worry if you can’t make this event, as Mind will be hosting more Virtual Crafternoons during this period.
