How to preserve your digital photos

Many people tell me that they feel overwhelmed by the thousands of digital photos they have taken and are not sure what to do with. Technology will continue to evolve, which is fantastic for a lot of reasons. But when it comes down to it, nothing can compare to having a tangible, physical record of your memories, stories and photos that you can hold in your hands. This is where Project Life comes in…

What is Project Life?

Project Life is a back-to-basics system of scrapbooking. The idea is that you can create a scrapbook without having to cut, glue or embellish. No gadgets or creative techniques are required. Simply slip your photos and pre-designed cards into page protectors that are divided to create pockets and that’s it! You can create completed pages and albums in way less time and it’s much less stressful. As well as the regular Project Life pocket pages and pre-designed cards, there are page templates and those same card designs all built into the Project Life app. With a little ‘tap-tap-tap’ you create pages in the palm of your hand. Tap on ‘Order prints’ right there in the app and we have those completed pages shipped directly to you in a matter of days. Slip those prints into regular page protectors then into an album and you’re golden!

Use the Project Life app to document your memories

Which photos should I document?

The best place to start is with just a handful of pictures that you feel excited to work with, whether from last week, eight years ago, or from your childhood. When it comes to choosing which memories to document, I always say record what you want to remember! If you would prefer to focus on only big events and happy moments that is fine. However, recording struggles and challenges you’ve faced is also okay. Try focussing on what you’ve learnt through those more difficult times. I believe that when you take the time to document everyday, seemingly mundane and ordinary moments, you tell the most accurate story of your life. I wish I had more ‘ordinary’ pictures from my childhood, don’t you?
