Craft Christmas Cards For Children in Need

It’s already time to get Christmas crafting! Songs of Praise has launched a UK-wide Christmas card competition to raise money for BBC Children in Need, so if you’d like your artwork to be sold during the festive period, it’s time to hunt down your crafty supplies and get making!

Craft Christmas Cards For Children in Need

The competition is open to people of all ages and abilities with only one rule; the design must reflect what Christmas means to you. Head to BBC Children in Need’s Facebook and Twitter pages to find ideas, inspiration and different ways to get arty.

Ten winners will be selected by a panel of judges who are yet to be announced, but we do know they will include an art expert and Songs of Praise presenter. The artwork will be judged on originality, creativity, public appeal and their ability to capture the spirit of Christmas.

“Having your work seen on Christmas cards around the country and being able to raise money for Children in Need – it really doesn’t get any better than that! Go on, unleash your creativity” Josie d’Arby, Songs of Praise presenter

Entries are required to be two dimensional on 14cm square card or paper and submitted by post to Songs of Praise Christmas Card Competition, 1st Floor BBC Dock House, Media City, Salford, M50 2LH by the 23rd May at 5pm. The contest is open to beginners and amateur artists only, professionals should not enter.

For entry forms and conditions click here. The winners will be announced on the 12th June during Songs of Praise, so make sure to tune in.

Don’t forget to share your makes on our Facebook and Twitter pages too!
