Ask the Experts: Brother ScanNCut

PaperCrafter talks to Stuart Stamp from Brother about the Brother ScanNCut, the company’s new machine for home crafters.

Ask the Experts: Brother ScanNCut

What is the ScanNCut and how do I use it?

ScanNCut is the world’s first home and hobby cutting machine with a built-in scanner. It enables you to scan virtually anything – a handmade drawing, a magazine clipping, cherished photos and more. You can then create endless cut designs and save them to the machine’s memory or cut designs straight from your chosen paper, card or fabric.

How can I use it in my paper crafting projects?

The ScanNCut is a standalone machine that doesn’t require a computer connection. It’s easy to scan in your own designs or use any of the 600 built-in designs and five fonts to create your own personal cards, scrapbook pages, and embellishments for your projects. There’s no need to purchase additional design cartridges or downloads.

What other uses are there for the ScanNCut?

ScanNCut cuts a wide range of papers and cards and also cuts fabrics making it ideal for quilting, and appliqué. The optional pen drawing function enables you to draw seam allowances on fabric for a precise sewing guideline, draw patterns or create written sentiments for your cards and scrapbooks

How to use the Brother ScanNCut machine.

The Brother ScanNCut is available from Create and Craft TV for £449.
