We chat with… Silkie Lloyd of ROSEHIP paper & home
We caught up with mum, business owner and crafty lady Silkie Lloyd to talk about the beginning and ongoing success of one of favourite online stationery stores, Rosehip…
If the phrase ‘I’m bored!’ is a constant echo in your household, then look no further! We’ve mustered up some purposeful projects to keep the kids entertained. After your little ones have got their claws into these exciting makes they’ll be saying “I’m tired!” instead. You know what that means – well-deserved post kid-crafting time for yourself. Bingo! You’ll get to have bundles of fun with your bundles of joy and maybe you could even convince them to do the clearing up?
1. Fan-tache-tic shaker

Movember has been running for over a decade. If you can’t grow a moustache, why not make one with the kids? The shaker element means it’s a little more challenging for their young minds, but they’ll thrive off of the results!
2. Unicorn dreams

What little girl (or adult!) doesn’t want to live in a magical dream world where they get to ride a unicorn to school (or work!) every day, surrounded by glitter? We can’t think of any! The eyelashes and floral crown make this project perfect for little princesses.
3. Design-a-dog

Are your children always pestering you for a puppy? Well now, they can make one to snuggle up to instead! Freddie is a friendly fellow who will make the best friend any child could wish for.
4. Spaceships & stars

Go to imaginary pastures new with this space shaker card. It will transport your thoughts into outer space with many planets and stars to see. The young spaceman motif will make your own child want to become an astronaut!
5. Back-pack-aroo

Kangaroos are well known for holding their young in their pouches. This backpack shows it in the cutest form – all your children’s classmates will be jealous! It also doubles as a cuddly toy which I’m sure they’ll soon become attached to!
6. Hogs ‘n’ kisses

Get your wellies on for a crafty trip to the farm with these animal-inspired greetings. With phrases like ‘have a moo-tiful birthday’ and ‘happy birthday spring chicken’ you and the kids will be giggling as you craft!
