If there’s two things in life we love, it’s papercrafting and food. These incredibly talented artists and crafters have managed to combine two of the greatest loves in life, and create these amazing yummy food paper sculptures.
1. Taco Time
This incredibly realistic looking beef taco, filled with cheese, lettuce and tomato is the handiwork of Argentinian photographer Maria Laura Benavente Sovieri. Her full collection of food goodies can be found here, and include a birthday cake, seafood platter and meat hamper.
2. Rise & Shine!
Maria Laura Benavente Sovieri is just too talented not to showcase another one of her paper creations: just look at how the percolator (paperlator?) has paper steam coming out of it!
3. Movie Time
There's no snack more appropriate for a trip to the silver screen than popcorn, why not craft these origami popcorn pieces and tub if you're throwing a Hollywood-themed soirée? A how-to can be found here.
4. That's A Wrap!
This delicious and flavourful looking fajita wrap, garnished with a papercrafted lime and coriander sprig, was made by the brainboxes at Column Five for the annual SXSW festival.
5. Hot Dog Weenie
Resist the urge to take a bite of this cleverly crafted Frankfurter hot dog, topped off with a squirt of 'mustard' and a dollop of 'onions'.
6. Sunny Side Up
Start your day off right with this origami bacon and eggs breakfast for one, which can be found in Peter Engel's book 10-Fold Origami.
7. A Slice Of The Action
Chow down on this bit of pizzeria papering, courtesy of Leeds-based designers Sebastian Needler and Andy Foster.
8. High Tea
Settle in for an afternoon tea and scone with this geometric pastel creation, whipped up by Charlotte Smith. Her other tasty treats can be drooled over at her gallery.
9. Burger-tastic!
This 3D paper burger looks as tasty and filling as the real deal, and was prepared by Mark Phu.
10. On A Roll
Feast your eyes on this paper sushi selection, complete with sashimi and makizushi rolls, as part of Anna Kleindinst's project Paper Art.
11. Ice Cream, You Scream, We All Scream For Ice Cream!
This selection of frozen desserts may look like video game graphics, but are actually in fact all paper! These lollies will never melt on you, and are available to download from here
We’d be lying if we didn’t say they look good enough to eat! Fancy showing off your kitchen skills using only your craft stash? Why not whet your appetite and show us your impressive makes on Twitter and Facebook
